Does any body know how exactly to boost the Economy and Political Freedoms categories in the game?

Depends on the issue. For economy I have Frightening, that is because when I focus on an issue I usually decide the one that says it would boost the economy. If you are not sure, read the description of the person whom is stating the issue. For example, it may say "Your Minister of Trade, Albert Karloff, says ..."
That one would most likely boost your economy. Sorry if I am vague.
